Sears Holdings confirmed it will continue to work with MPG as its media lead after the retailer’s review of its $570 million account. The parent of Sears and Kmart is one of the Havas agency’s largest clients.

"After a comprehensive review process, Sears Holdings has decided to retain MPG as our lead media agency,” said a Sears rep who declined to offer details about that decision or identify which other agencies had been under consideration in the review, initiated last summer. When MPG won the business in 2007, other contenders were then-incumbents MindShare and MEC Interaction, both units of WPP Group; Aegis Group’s Carat and independent Horizon Media.

In September, MPG promoted Lori Hiltz as the agency’s first North American chief since Shaun Holliday left in 2010. Hiltz was previously evp and managing director of MPG’s Chicago office, which worked closely with the Hoffman Estates, Ill. retailer.
