Darren Moran's reign atop the creative department of Draftfcb New York lasted just 14 months.

The office is now searching for a new chief creative officer. In the meantime, director of integrated production Anthony Nelson will oversee the 130-person department.

In an internal memo, office CEO Dana Maiman said Nelson would work closely with North American executive creative director Tom O'Keefe as the agency conducts its search.

New York's top accounts include Kraft Foods, Fisher-Price, and Eli Lilly.

Moran joined the Interpublic Group agency in October 2010. At the time, the New York CCO position had been vacant for nine months.

Before joining Draftfcb, Moran was a global creative director at Young & Rubicam in New York, where he spent 13 years. His brand experience ranges from Xerox, Accenture, and Chevron to Bacardi, LG, and Colgate.
