It’s official: Dave Moore has joined Avrett Free Ginsberg as co-chief creative officer. His partner is Joe Petruccio, who has been CCO at the Interpublic agency.
Moore has been informally working at the agency since February, after leaving Interpublic sibling McCann Erickson in New York, where he was an evp, executive creative director. Moore’s most recent tenure at McCann was his second tour of duty. He was associated with accounts including Applebee’s, Ethan Allen, Smith Barney and Unilever’s Bertolli brand.
He's also the former CCO of McCann Detroit, where he worked on the agency’s flagship client, General Motors, as well the office’s award-winning “Pure Michigan” tourism campaign.
Moore, a friend of Avrett’s CEO and founder, Frank Ginsberg, has been helping the agency—which turns 40 in 2012—rethink its structure. Known for its work on Nestlé Purina PetCare brands like Fancy Feast, Cat Chow, Friskies and Beggin' Strips, the shop is in the process of changing its name—to AFG&—and revamping its operations.
“Our platform is ‘unlimited partnership,’ which has always been at the core of this agency going back to its start," said Moore.
