SapientNitro has been tapped as Activision Publishing’s digital marketing agency. The Sapient unit has been working with the Santa Monica, Calif., interactive entertainment company on a digital strategy project which led to the expanded relationship.
SapientNitro is working with Activision to develop a digital strategy to activate the November global launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and is also providing digital marketing support for Activision’s upcoming game Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure which incorporates toys, videogames, and the Internet.
There was no agency review; Activision had been using smaller digital shops on a title-by-title basis and wanted to consolidate its digital marketing activities.
