Honda is the latest car company to indulge its own nostalgia in this new spot for the 2012 Civic (by Tier10 Marketing—not RPA, which did the fuzzy-monster and zombie spots). The structure here isn't much different from any sitcom's flashback episode—a bunch of vintage Honda ads together with some Bones-episode resolution rock from Dirty Vegas, with just enough new footage to tie it all together. The copy is equally uninspired. "39 years. 19,000,000 stories." Way to break new ground, Copernicus. And here I thought the zombie/ninja nerd bait that RPA made for Honda was bad.
