Chobani has named Boston-based independent Boathouse its lead creative agency.
The Greek yogurt brand's advertising was previously handled by Publicis Groupe's Leo Burnett, which won the business in late 2011 after a pitch. Chobani moved the account to Boathouse in early 2013 without a review, following the expiration of its contract with Leo Burnett at the end of 2012. A spokesperson for the brand confirmed it is no longer working with Leo Burnett.
Boathouse's work for Chobani will include a series of Oscars ads airing this coming Sunday, Feb. 24. One, a 60-second spot running during ABC's pre-show coverage and again during the awards ceremony, features singer Macy Gray's "Beauty in the World" as a soundtrack.
The move follows the departure last November of Chobani's head of marketing Doron Stern.
In 2011, account revenue was estimated at $3 million.
