WPP mobile marketing agency Joule has tapped Daniel Rosen to be its global CEO, filling a position vacated by Michael Collins, who left last month to become CEO of mobile ad tech company Adelphic.

Since joining Joule in March 2012, Rosen has served as Joule's CEO for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region. In his new role, Rosen will report to Rupert Day, former COO of GroupM and now CEO of WPP media unit tenthavenue, Joule’s parent company.

Rosen’s resume also includes eight years at AKQA, where he launched and led the agency’s mobile practice.

Joule, founded in 2006, has a client roster that includes Unilever, Paramount Pictures, IKEA, and AT&T, with offices in London, New York, Paris, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Beijing and Nanjing.

Separately, the agency also promoted two staffers, Michael Lieberman and Greg Crockart, to the newly created positions of co-presidents for Joule’s U.S. operations. Both will report to Rosen.
